Tigris Contracting & Engineering undertakes new construction, refurbishment and turnkey projects in Iraq. The experience gained by the Tigris team include in Iraq, the Middle East, North Africa and the Far East. Tigris also acts as an integrated engineering architectural and planning practice ready to handle a variety of projects across the public and private sectors and in a wide range of fields including transport and infrastructure projects from educational facilities to healthcare as well as commercial buildings. We are able to participate in these projects in various capacities, from turnkey operator to specialist engineering contractor.
Tigris has the expertise and experience to play an important part in the major reconstruction efforts in Iraq and in other regional countries that have significant reconstruction needs. Tigris is able to design, deliver and support infrastructure assets. We are also ideally placed to act on behalf of international firms and governmental bodies working on reconstruction projects, monitoring and enforcing quality control standards to an internationally acceptable level in the execution of these projects.
Our clients have included many private sector companies, governmental agencies, international organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO and IRC, and military institutions.
Since 2003, Tigris has acted as main contractor and sub-contractor to some of the largest US and European construction firms including AMEC, CH2M Hill, The Washington Group and Parsons. Types of projects executed include building military barracks, multi-story commercial and residential buildings, roads, landscaping of recreational parks, utility services (water, sewage, electrical) and rehabilitation and refurbishment of buildings and hospitals.
